  1.  The Cosi Science Museum is located in Columbus and is a great place to visit. It has mind boggling creations that you’ll love. It’s a great place to learn and have a lot of fun. You can also cooperate in science presentations like the static ball. They have a gift shop for souvenir’s so you don’t forget your trip.
  2. Ohio Caverns is located near Dayton, right by West liberty. It is a show cave that has thousands of stalagmites and stalactites that are just amazing to look at. There are also lots of other mineral formations and rocks found and seen in the cave. The gift shop has lots of minerals, rocks, and even a gem miner station where you buy a bag of gems and dirt and see what you can find by using a sifting box and running water. it is a lot of fun to visit and learn about it’s history.
  3. Ohio River is located on the border of Ohio. It is an absolutely beautiful (or terrifying, if your scared of heights) site. I’ve seen it a few times when going on vacations outside of Ohio and have always looked forward to seeing it on my way out or back in to Ohio.

If you have been on vacation to, or live in, Ohio, where is your favorite place to visit? Let me know!

Rubiks cubes!

Haiku:

Rubik’s cubes are fun.

Endless possibilities.

they are challenging.

Rhyming:

Rubik’s cube, they are so colorful,

also so complicated.

They can make you playful,

or they can make you infuriated.

I think they are fun, others think they are awful.

leave in the comments if you like them or not!

How To Post A Good Comment

Want to post a good comment on your friend’s blog? Well here’s how:

Compliment the writer.

When reading someone’s work, and you go to comment, compliment them. Don’t just tell them what’s wrong or that they are so bad at writing. Instead, leave a comment saying how you liked it, what they did good. Then, if you have to, nicely tell them about any errors they need to check and fix.

Add new factual content.

After reading someone’s blog, you might find some factual content missing or some false facts in they post. Or maybe not. But if you do, don’t jump to conclusions and call them stupid. You could add information and ask them if they knew that. Or if you think some information is wrong ask them about it and correct them.

Make a connection.

Now you don’t always have to add facts, but you could rather make a connection with the writer’s subject. Say the authors writing is about how they like horses. you could either say like, “oh, one time I got to ride horses and I really liked it”. Or you could say, “one time I was kicked off a horse while riding one. Although it hurt, I still love horses!” Or you could make any other connection you feel like sharing.

Ask a question.

Maybe you don’t have facts to add or a connection to make. Why don’t you ask a question! Say you like the subject they wrote about. You could ask something like, “hey, I want to know more about this, could you tell me what you know?” Or a specific question like, “it looks like you know a lot about [subject]. Could you tell me if [your question]? if you can, leave a reply!”

Proofread your comment.

Once you post your comment, you can’t touch it. So make sure you have all of your spelling correct, punctuation, and it all around makes sense. Make sure you don’t have lots of ‘shortcuts’ like thx, ty, sry, ttyl etcetera. It’s ok if you have a few mess up’s, but make sure it doesn’t look like it was written by a preschooler.

With that said, sure your comments are nice, appropriate, and kind. Never criticize anyone for anything or make them feel bad, or that they did a bad job. If your going to comment, make sure it’s good.

I also got most of this information from Nicolas Weiss. so check out his video from http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/

This Handsome Little Dude’s Name is Brandon!

This is my avatar!

In my opinion, he’s the cutest little guy and perfectly fits me. I have brownish, black hair and that’s the best I could get. I also have light brown eyes that change to dark green every once in a while, but I chose light brown because they don’t change color that much. I always try to smile, and I used my clothes to show my two favorite colors, lime green and bright red. I’m also kind of pale when it comes to skin tone, but anyways, that’s about it for my DoppleMe/Edu blogs avatar.
